We had a lovely stay at Casa Balthazar. It was a perfect hotel for our first trip to Portugal. The staff were very kind and responsive, both before and during our stay. The hotel feels like a home, with lots of thoughtful touches like free cake and an honor bar. It is an oasis of calm and quiet in a busy city. Breakfast was fantastic, and the pastries were standouts. The croissants were as good or better than ones we’ve had in Paris. We stayed in the apartment, which was spacious and comfortable, with a great view of the city. The bed was a dream and we had no outside noise at all. The location is excellent - right next to the Rossio train station and easy access to key points of interest. We would not hesitate to return to Casa Balthazar.
