Quirky changes to our travel plans resulted in us staying here for 3 days and then, after staying - ever so briefly - in another lodging before making a quick exit, returning to Artemesia Montmartre for 2 more days. This was a wonderful place in a great location just a block away from Moulin Rouge, a 20 minute walk to Sacre-Coeur and 15 minutes (just close enough and at the same not too close) from Gare Du Nord. We ended up staying in different rooms each stay. Both were comfortable, very clean and in great condition, as was the entire property. The new looking elevator seems to be a relatively recent addition. The breakfast was very good, with an entirely reasonable set of choices. We had breakfast included with our first stay for an additional modest cost. We booked early for the first set of stays at (considering Paris hotel prices) a good rate. The staff were uniformly very helpful and friendly. Only a couple of minor issues. The temperature of the room was somewhat warm and we couldn’t get it to cool down as much as we wanted, so we requested a top sheet to use instead of the bed covers. There was also a bit of noise on the street a couple of nights. Don’t know if this is the norm, but you might want to bring along some light duty earplugs just in case
