Armeno Resort in Μαραθίας 490 80, open JuneOctober.

Armeno Resort commands sweeping views of the Aegean Sea from its hillside perch in Marathías, where whitewashed architecture and terraced gardens cascade toward the shoreline.

The property sits 490 meters elevation, offering panoramic vistas across the water and surrounding landscape that shift throughout the day.

Stone pathways wind through olive groves and Mediterranean plantings, leading to intimate ceremony spaces and reception areas with unobstructed sea views.

Just spent a week at this wonderful place. The location is not touristy and perfect for a relaxing holiday. There are enough local tavernas in easy reach to try.We stayed in the Annexe which is a few minutes from main building. The room is large but a little sparse, could do with some extra storage & hangers. If that can't be provided it would be nice to have a raised platform to put luggage on rather than on the floor. Room had mosquito screens but a few pesky ones made their way in, the owner provided electrical device which really helped. A little more attention to detail on cleaning is needed in bathroom and sink area. Some toiletries were available but in 30ml sizes, it would be better to have larger refillable products as there must be a lot of plastic waste.Breakfast was great, especially the homemade options, the coffee was quite weak but otherwise everything was very tasty. Loved the chilled out vibe of the whole place including the music selection. Was concerned about proximity to beach bars, while on the beach could hear incessant beats from Karma beach bar but not much else so felt a little frustrating, would rather hear the music selection from Armeno or just the sound of the sea. The pool is marvellous and the beach is steps away where there are plenty of loungers available. Cocktails were fab, as was the food but I feel some smaller dishes would be better for daytime, the portions are very good. Some things weren't on the menu but could be ordered like french fries and tzatziki. Apparently Greek law states you can only eat/ drink items purchased in the resort, a small discount for residents would be welcome in this case. There were 2 basic minimarts within minutes walk. We got taxi from airport costing 90euro, the return was organised by manager and cost 70euro. One of the highlights was watching spectacular sunsets, I'd recommend getting a seat by the bar and soaking it up. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. I would return.
