We hiked up from the cove for dinner service and this was the best meal and experience we had during our stay in San Fruttuoso. If you are looking to try Authentic Liguria food this is the place. We ate at a shared table with others who were lodging or also hiking and what a wonderful experience it was to dine with other nationalities. The service was lovely, kind and helpful. We ate many dishes, you will not leave hungry. Eating from a set menu it was all fresh and tasty, with the pesto gnocchi starter and rabbit main deserving a special mention. The children enjoyed "the best meatballs" they've ever tried and they are fussy at the best of times! Had it been a warmer evening it's possible to dine outside and take in the stunning views. After we finished dinner we then enjoyed the night trek back down the hill with head torches, again a magical experience for us and our children (our youngest is 12 and managed the walk up without issue, just wear sensible shoes). Not for those who don't enjoy a hike along trails.
