Is exclusive use required?+
Yes. Weddings require exclusive use of the entire abbey for a minimum of two nights. That puts all 27 double rooms and three suites, spread over 8,000 square metres, at your party’s disposal and closes the hotel to everyone else.
How far is it from Madrid?+
About two hours by road, roughly 180 kilometres north on the A-1 and N-122, and the estate describes itself as under two hours from Madrid. Valladolid is 40 minutes west and has train connections, including the AVE from Madrid Chamartín.
Can we visit the winery?+
Yes. The wine is made on the estate, which runs to about 200 hectares of vineyard within its 700 hectares, and tastings, cellar visits and a terroir bar at the vineyard edge are part of what guests do between the ceremony and dinner.
What is the food like?+
Refectorio, in the monks’ old dining hall, holds a Michelin star, and there is a more relaxed vinoteca alongside it. Because the whole abbey is yours for two nights, the kitchen cooks only for your party across the weekend.
