Zafran Boutique Hotel & Restaurant occupies a carefully restored 19th-century palazzo in Donnalucata, a coastal village in southeastern Sicily.
The building has been transformed from its original residential purpose into a refined hospitality destination, preserving period architectural details while introducing contemporary amenities.
Its intimate scale and attention to historic authenticity create a distinguished setting for destination celebrations.
We booked a “Prestige Seaview Room” direct with the hotel. On arrival we were allocated room 4. This is NOT a Seaview room. There is one small window out of the way near the bed with a view of the beach but as this hotel is on the waterfront, this is not a Seaview room. Disappointing. Also, no one bothered to tell us that the restaurant was “closed for the season”. The room was OK but the bathroom was absolutely dysfunctional. No separate shower only a bath on a pedestal which was very dangerous to get into/out of. The overhead shower in the bath with no screen absolutely soaked the bathroom. The hotel had a great location on the waterfront and it would have been a four star review if the my had delivered as advertised.
