a lovely resort situated on monterey bay in marina california. it has a separate restaurant on premises with an oyster bar. the resort is close to fishermans wharf and monterey bay aquarium, at the end of cannery row. the row has many eateries and small shops that cater to tourists and is a fun walk. going farther down lighthouse avenue you will come to pacific grove, another small town with much to offer in the way of shopping and dining. the whole area is rich with history and well worth visiting for the whole family. the weather is quirky in spring and winter, going from cold to colder with spots of sunshire in between. hearst castle is within driving distance for people who like castles, another historical spot to visit, but pricey enttance. on the way, carmel is a lovely town to visit with a fine beach for family day at the beach. if you're lucky, you can spot whales from the shore at the beach behind marina dunes. a great vacation spot for the whole family.
