Villa Ducale is undeniably charming, with a beautiful setting and the timeless atmosphere of an old Italian residence. The building itself has character and history, though it now shows a little wear and would benefit from a gentle refresh to restore its full splendour. The staff, however, were truly wonderful — attentive, welcoming, and always ready to assist. I even received my Negroni at 11 p.m., which says much about their hospitality. The room was comfortable, and the bed provided a good night’s rest. Breakfast was modest — not remarkable, but sufficient for a pleasant start to the day. Overall, I would rate it around 3 out of 5. A lovely place with heart and history, just in need of a touch of renewal to match its potential.
