Built in the early 1900s as a working farmhouse in the Reatine hills, Tenuta La Seminatrice has been restored as a destination estate wedding venue while preserving its agricultural heritage.
The 86-hectare property combines original stone buildings, manicured gardens, and natural woodland into a series of distinctive event spaces.
Today it operates as one of Lazio's few municipally licensed venues for legally valid civil ceremonies held outdoors.
My seminatrice journey has started when I first visited the location and I fell in love immediately with the so called Cathedral. When I pictured my wedding I always imagined it in a forest surrounded by trees and fairy lights. La seminatrice is a beautiful old mansion in the middle of the roman hills and forest, with the particularity of having a bamboo forest and a natural hazelnut cathedral. The place is magical and everything was absolutely perfect at our wedding, everybody was astonished with the place and told me they had never seen anything like that before. Chiara, the owner has helped me with all the documents, and practical things like table setting, flowers, decoration, car rental, choosing the perfect photographer and adding lovely details like the tarot reader and much more! Chiara has always been very clear, transparent and friendly during the whole wedding preparation, furthermore she demonstrated to be a true professional by the way she handled difficult situations like the summer storm hitting exactly at the time of the ceremony, that caused the the electricity to shut down for a few seconds and making it hard to get people at the location with the transport. Chiara has been fighting and coordinating all of these difficulties days before by offering options to cover the tables and the whole reception with a discreet yet strong veil which made the wedding as I wanted possible. During the wedding Chiara has been working hard to solve all the problems promptly and tirelessly under the storm and she adjusted the whole ceremony to our needs and the wedding turned out beautiful and even more emotionally charged. Thank you Chiara for everything and for making a dream come true!

Can we hold a legally valid ceremony at the venue?+
Yes. La Seminatrice is one of very few Italian venues licensed by the Municipality to conduct fully legal civil ceremonies outdoors. Ceremonies take place in La Cattedrale or alternative spaces (Il Bambuseto, Le Mistery Dome, Giardino della Gioia) depending on guest count. A municipal fee of €50 applies for legal ceremonies.
What happens if it rains on our wedding day?+
The venue operates a fully trained bi-directional wet weather plan. Your celebration moves under dedicated covered spaces for ceremony, drinks, and dinner. Once weather improves, the team seamlessly transitions events back outdoors. All covered areas are staffed and ready.
Can we bring our own caterer?+
Yes. While the venue works with 10 curated catering partners, external caterers are welcome if they pass the venue's prior evaluation process. The venue guides you through supplier selection via dedicated video call and can manage all logistics on your behalf.
Where should our guests stay?+
Within 10 km, there are B&Bs and agriturismi offering up to 49 rooms. For larger parties wanting accommodation under one roof, the venue arranges stays at a partner hotel (Best Western Hilton), a short drive away. A curated list of recommended options is provided upon request.
Is the venue accessible for guests with mobility challenges?+
Yes. All event spaces except the bridal suite feature ramp access. Facilities include 2 male, 2 female, and 1 accessible bathroom with baby changing and ramp access. Gravel-surfaced pathways have dedicated staff available to assist wheelchair users throughout the event.
What does the venue hire fee include?+
Venue hire (€2,900–€5,500 + VAT, depending on date) includes: venue and grounds, full staff (parking, cleaning, coordination), scenic lighting, bridal suite with breakfast, and Wedding Project planning support. Catering is quoted separately based on guest count and menu.
