Steigenberger Golf & Spa Resort Camp de Mar in Illes Balears, open JuneSeptember.

Guests arrive at this clifftop resort to discover a seamless blend of Mediterranean coastline and contemporary comfort, where the ceremony overlooks crystalline waters and receptions unfold on terraces with unobstructed sea views.

The property's 18-hole golf course and full-service spa create a multi-day experience that extends far beyond the ceremony itself.

Staff coordinate every detail, allowing your party to transition from morning preparations through evening celebrations without logistical friction.

The Steigenberger Camp de Mar is a beautiful property in a stunning location, and I would like to begin by recognizing the people who work here. Throughout our stay, the staff at reception, the bar, and the breakfast restaurant were consistently friendly, welcoming, professional, and genuinely willing to help. They are without question the strongest asset of this hotel and deserve recognition for their efforts. Unfortunately, the same level of excellence was not reflected in the overall guest experience. The main issue appears to be a lack of management oversight and attention to detail. During our stay, bottled water and coffee capsules were not replenished on multiple occasions, requiring us to repeatedly contact the hotel for basic room amenities. Housekeeping was also inconsistent. On two occasions, after spending the entire afternoon away from the room, we returned to find that it had not been serviced/clean. A particularly telling example is an empty wine bottle and cooler left outside our room at approximately 3:00 PM. They remained there overnight and were still there the following morning. While this may seem minor, luxury hospitality is built on precisely these small details. The room itself also showed signs of wear that should not be present in a five-star property, including a damaged blackout curtain that was visibly torn and in need of replacement. Breakfast was good, but not exceptional, and overall the hotel felt closer to a well-maintained four-star property than a genuine five-star luxury experience. If you are considering booking this hotel, do not expect the same standards associated with other Steigenberger properties such as Frankfurt, Munich, or El Gouna. The difference in service quality, attention to detail, and overall guest experience is noticeable. In fact, during our recent travels, a nearby four-star Iberostar property delivered a significantly more polished and attentive experience, with thoughtful welcome amenities, better room preparation, more proactive service, and a much stronger focus on guest satisfaction. This review is intended as constructive feedback. The property itself has five-star potential. Unfortunately, the management, quality control, and attention to detail currently fall short of that standard.
