How many guests can Pousada Palácio de Estoi seat?+
The Pousada publishes 50 for the indoor halls and up to 170 on the meadow garden. Anything above 50 seated is an outdoor wedding with a marquee plan behind it, which in the Algarve is workable from April to October.
Can we have the ceremony in the chapel?+
The palace has the São José chapel on site, and the village church in Estói is a short walk away. Both are used for religious ceremonies; the terraced gardens are the usual setting for a civil or symbolic one.
Can we take the whole palace?+
The Pousada has 63 rooms and sells full reservation of its spaces for weddings and parties. A complete buyout is a matter of contracting the room block and the venues together, and it is easier outside July and August.
Do day visitors use the gardens?+
The palace and its gardens are a public attraction as well as a hotel, so on an ordinary day people walk the terraces. Wedding contracts close the relevant spaces off, and it is worth stating in writing which terraces are yours and when.
How far is the airport?+
Faro airport is about 15 minutes by car, the shortest transfer of any venue in this collection. Faro old town is 10 minutes, and the beaches of the Ria Formosa about 25, which makes it easy on guests flying in for two nights.
