The hotel was chosen for its location midway in a journey and we didn’t expect too much from it, judging by the name and main picture. It turned out to be surprisingly excellent. The room was large, comfortable, quiet and well-equipped. There’s a bubbly outside pool by the hotel and a proper one in the camping site that’s a couple of hundred yards away. Also crazy golf, bowling etc outside that would be great for kids. The restaurant was remarkably good with the food well-cooked, well-presented and well-served - amongst the best we’ve had on this trip. What’s more, the whole visit was surprisingly inexpensive.
