The positive reviews are hard to believe. Room ok, but two gripes. The online booking system linked to the Valle di Anna website is hardly transparent. It led us to believe we had paid for breakfast. On day of arrival, the receptionist messaged to say we had to pay extra for it. I queried the bill at end of stay, but the only evidence I had of having paid for breakfast was on a screenshot I took as I made the online booking, and I did not have the relevant laptop with me. Deliberate misleading on hotel's part? Make your own decision. The hotel is 200m or so above the Pisa-Livorno-Florence expressway, and the roar of traffic is omnipresent. The hotel is certainly not the tranquil oasis the website photos suggest. With the extra for breakfast the Valle di Anna ended up being the most expensive accommodation of our Tuscan tour, and also the least pleasant.

Came after official check in time, but (the very friendly!) staff was still present. Got everything we needed. Rooms were clean and as expected/described. We ordered no breakfast in advance, but were asked if we’d like to have some in the morning. As we were hungry from the journey we agreed - and this was our luck because it was very very good! (And not so costly as in many other hotels, and kids half price also)

What a wonderfull place to be. Super romantic, clean and the most helpfull staff I've ever met. When you want to know anything about your stay of next activity ask Letytia (sorry if I don't write it correctly). She is amazing and always willing to help. She also gives the best tips! I really enjoyed my stay at Valle di Anne
