This historic 4-star property sits directly on the waterfront, with terraced gardens sloping toward the lake and the snow-capped peaks of the opposite shoreline as your backdrop.

A fantastic 19th century place to stay right next to lake Como in Veranna. A short 900 metres from the rail station, it gives you the colonial vibes (we were travelling light with 2 carry on luggages, yet they insisted on the concierge to bring up the luggage). The rooms and the toilets are clean and well kept. The hidden gem is the bar downstairs, which is very well stocked. We were served by Andrea, who was very patient with our choices of whisky and gin. The aperitif with the drinks were very nice. There is a nice restaurant attached, and if you are late in the night (past 7 pm in the evening), this should be your place to dine. The staff are friendly. Definitely a place to stay in Veranna.
