The room was pretty good. The bed was really big and super comfy, the furnishings were nice and the mini fridge and alcohol selections were very good but just below what I would expect for an Elite Class selection. The view was quite good as well. The condition of some of the things were just not quite top class. The service was good overall. Most of the staff were super nice but when we had made a massage reservation on the app but only told when we arrived to the spa that the app didn't actually reserve the massage was quite disappointing given we had stayed away from making other reservations and were ultimately forced to reschedule and in my opinion the reaction was more matter of fact than being eager to make this right. The buffet was good overall but there were quite a few items that were dried out. The staff overall were really nice though. We had another situation where our request was denied and they didn't seem eager to help us out. The food overall was really good and our experience in the Italian restaurant and Elite restaurant was really good and service really good. The location was good but there was a bit of trash in the water and the constant boats trying to sell marijuana and other drugs was really disconcerting in the private water. Not sure we will pick Riu again.
