⭐☆☆☆☆ (1 Star) If I could give this hotel -100 stars, I would. This is, without question, one of the worst hotel experiences my family has ever had. Do not be fooled by the “luxury” label. There is absolutely nothing luxurious about this property except the prices they charge. We paid premium rates expecting a five-star experience and instead received poor accommodations, poor service, poor management, and what has become an ongoing dispute after checkout. From the day we arrived, the problems never stopped. The room was not clean. The towels were dirty, the bed linens were dirty, and we repeatedly requested clean towels because what was provided was unacceptable. The shower drain barely worked, leaving water standing while we showered. The balcony doors were broken, and basic maintenance appeared to have been ignored. The air conditioning was one of the biggest failures. During temperatures exceeding 40°C (over 100°F), the hotel was without functioning air conditioning for approximately two full days. Sleeping was unbearable. Instead of immediately fixing the problem, we were given excuses while guests were expected to endure extreme heat. The elevator frequently did not work, making it extremely difficult to move luggage. When we asked for assistance, our luggage was handled carelessly and roughly instead of with the professionalism expected from a hotel claiming to be luxurious. The restaurant was a complete disappointment. Service was painfully slow, staff often appeared rude and indifferent, and the food quality was nowhere close to what they charged. I have honestly had better meals from inexpensive local street vendors than at this hotel’s restaurant. The beach service was equally unacceptable. We paid for beach access, yet basic services were disorganized. We waited an unreasonable amount of time just to receive a towel token after swimming. That is not luxury—it is poor management. After checkout, things became even worse. We found ourselves disputing charges for items and services that we did not use. We dispute the hotel’s claims regarding beach items and towels. We were repeatedly asking for clean towels during our stay, so being accused of not returning towels makes absolutely no sense. During our stay, the manager/owner personally assured us that we would receive a refund for two full days because of the serious air-conditioning problems and other service failures. We relied on that promise. After we left, instead of honoring what was promised, management changed its position and began disputing the refund. That was extremely disappointing and destroyed any remaining trust we had. Our vehicle was also damaged while it was in the hotel’s parking area. That matter remains unresolved, and we are pursuing it through the appropriate channels. Instead of taking responsibility for the many problems we experienced, management has consistently denied responsibility and attempted to shift blame onto paying guests. A luxury hotel is defined by cleanliness, honesty, reliable facilities, excellent food, professional staff, and outstanding customer service. This hotel failed on every level. There are countless beautiful hotels throughout Sicily that truly deserve your business and your money. This property is not one of them. Save yourself the frustration, save your money, and book somewhere else. Based on our experience, I would never stay here again, and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.
