Absolutely amazing place to stay rooms beautiful beds so comfortable, up the mountain but well worth it for the views, everything you need for your stay like home from home breakfast is fab too different varieties each day to choose from. And most of all the owner is amazing and can't do enough for you. The place is a credit to her and her family beautiful. Definitely well worth the visit would go back there in a heart beat.

This place was recommended warmly by a friend of mine. The brief exchange we had after my booking was already very sweet and had me excited to enjoy Rio staying here. Just before the trip was supposed to start my friend had a severe accident and we had to cancel the trip. Gerthrude's was exceptionally friendly, considerate and generous in the treatment of this unfortunate event. I can only recommend everyone to choose Gerthrude's. I hope I can come to Rio soon and enjoy this wonderful city from this wonderful hotel.

What a beautiful view, great hospitality, atmosphere and decor. We loved our stay with the two brothers, who are very helpfully and inviting. The rooms are great, comfortable beds and breakfast is at a beautiful setting with all kind of options for everyone.
