Domaine de la Fauconnie in Campsegret.
Domaine de la Fauconnie stands apart as a working estate spanning 12 hectares in the Dordogne, where historic stone buildings and vineyards create an authentic French countryside backdrop without the staged artifice of purpose-built venues.
Rather than imported grandeur, this property offers the genuine character of a family-owned domain with roots in the region's agricultural heritage.
Ceremonies unfold against rolling fields and restored medieval structures, while receptions utilize both manicured gardens and the estate's original outbuildings.
I want to preface this by saying I never write reviews... but for Domaine De La Fauconnie, I just couldn't help myself. My husband and I got married here in October, and it was honestly the most magical day of our lives. The photos truly do not do this venue justice - it is absolutely breathtaking and the most perfect place to have a wedding. Tanja, the owner of the castle, was incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process and always so attentive. Planning a destination wedding from the UK can be challenging at times, but Tanja's knowledge and experience made everything so much easier. She recommended fantastic suppliers who helped us bring our dream wedding to life and was always quick to advise and support us whenever we needed it. I can't imagine we were the easiest couple to deal with, yet Tanja was endlessly kind, patient, and accommodating. We hosted three days of celebrations at the venue - a welcome dinner, our wedding day, and a pool party; it was the most perfect weekend to share with our loved ones. Our friends and family are still telling us it was the best wedding they've ever attended and that the whole experience felt like something straight out of a movie! If you're looking for a venue that will truly wow you and your guests, this is the place to choose. Be warned though... if you get married here, you'll find yourself dreaming about the day for a long time afterwards and wishing you could relive it all over again!
