I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I was disappointed by the customer service we received from the front desk person working the night of July 23, 2026. After returning to the hotel around midnight following my son’s basketball game and bowling, I went to the front desk to request an extra set of sheets and a blanket so my son could sleep on a pallet on the floor. I completely understand that housekeeping had already left for the night, and I wasn’t expecting immediate housekeeping service. What bothered me was the way my request was handled. The front desk employee’s tone, body language, and facial expressions came across as very condescending. I was asked questions like, “What time did you check in?” and “So you’ve been here all day?” in a way that felt more like I was being questioned than assisted. The conversation ended with, “You might get the blankets in 15 or 20 minutes.” As a paying guest, I shouldn’t have to explain or justify why I’m requesting an extra set of sheets or a blanket. A simple, explanation that housekeeping had already left and that there would be a short wait would have been more than enough. I never received the sheets or blanket that night, and there was no follow-up afterward. A quick update or apology would have gone a long way. This was my first time staying at a Comfort Inn, and this interaction left such a poor first impression that I will likely choose a different hotel brand for future trips. I hope management reviews this interaction with the front desk person working on July 23, 2026, because respectful, professional customer service goes a long way.
