Château Saint Pierre d'Escarvaillac stands as a meticulously restored 18th-century estate in Provence, originally built as a noble residence and transformed into an exclusive wedding venue.

We had such a great afternoon at this small winery just outside Avignon. Christophe and his team Pierre-Eric and Andreas were incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable and made the whole experience unforgettable with a personal touch that you really don’t get in most places. We ended up spending a couple of hours there, sitting by the fire, tasting wines and chatting about wine and business. An added bonus was seeing the upstairs “hay” room, with its spectacular artworks. These are not mass-produced wines. Everything feels very hands-on, boutique and small-batch, which really comes through in the quality. We loved them enough to take home two bottles — the Saint Pierre Côtes du Rhône and the Cépède Côtes du Rhône. Both were excellent examples of what they do well: the Saint Pierre with a classic Rhône blend feel, and the Cépède leaning more Syrah-driven, structured and full of character. Great wines, and very reasonably priced for the quality. Overall, it felt less like a “tasting” and more like being welcomed in for the afternoon. Such a memorable experience — highly recommend if you’re in the Avignon area. Thanks for the great afternoon and all the best with the business, Christophe & team! We hope to be back soon.
