01 · In a sentence

Brazilian Room in CA 94708, open JuneSeptember.

Guests wind through Berkeley's Tilden Regional Park and arrive at a historic garden venue surrounded by native oak and bay trees, with sweeping views across the San Francisco Bay.

The Brazilian Room's open-air pavilion and manicured grounds create a naturally sophisticated setting where 20 to 150 guests experience both intimacy and grandeur.

Couples appreciate the venue's flexibility—whether hosting an afternoon garden ceremony or evening reception, the space adapts to your vision without requiring heavy decoration.

I am so happy that I am a preferred vendor at this wedding venue! It’s one of my favorite venues to photograph, as the rustic wooden reception space combined with the outdoor cocktail hour & ceremony site makes for a seamless experience! Perfect for somewhat smaller guest counts as it is a more intimate space, yet it still provides everything you need. I also really love that you’re so close to the redwood forest - I drove the couple a few minutes up the road to do their private vows & couples portraits there and it was one of my favorite parts of the day!

07 · Questions

Asked along the way.

What is included in the venue rental?+

The Brazilian Room rental includes access to the pavilion, kitchen facilities, tables, chairs, and parking. Event coordination through East Bay Parks is available. Outside catering is permitted with approved vendors.

Are there on-site accommodation options?+

The Brazilian Room itself does not include lodging. However, the venue is located in Berkeley, with hotels ranging from budget to luxury options within 10–20 minutes. Many wedding parties book properties in nearby Oakland, Berkeley, and Walnut Creek.

Can we hold both ceremony and reception at this venue?+

Yes. The open gardens accommodate ceremony setups, and the pavilion serves as reception space. The natural elevation changes and tree placements allow you to define separate ceremony and dining areas.

What are the weather contingencies?+

The pavilion provides weather protection for dining. For ceremonies, you may rent a tent. East Bay Parks staff can advise on weather patterns and backup timing during booking.

Are there vendor restrictions?+

Catering must come from East Bay Parks' approved vendor list or receive special approval. Photography and florals operate freely. Full details are provided upon rental agreement.
