01 · In a sentence

Badiula in Carlentini, open JuneSeptember.

Badiula is a restored 19th-century Sicilian estate in Carlentini that has been transformed into a luxury hotel and wedding venue.

Originally built as a noble residence in 1847, the property underwent extensive restoration to preserve its architectural heritage while introducing contemporary amenities for modern celebrations.

The venue combines original stonework, period details, and manicured grounds spanning over 5 hectares of countryside.

The facility and location was pleasant. The staff was friendly. However, the service in the restaurant was friendly as well but absolutely unprofessional. The food was abundant, by far too abundant! It had little or nothing to do with typical Sicilian nor Italian cuisine. It was in every aspect disappointing after having visited plenty of places on Sicily prior to our stay at Badiula.
