It is unlikely that I would choose this hotel again on a future visit to Granada. My stay at Aurea Washington Irving Granada was overall acceptable, but it did not meet my expectations compared to other hotels I have experienced in Spain. The hotel itself is well maintained, the rooms are comfortable, cleanliness is satisfactory, and the inroom amenities are adequate. However, my main concern is the service philosophy. Throughout my stay, I felt that guest convenience was not given the same level of priority that I have encountered in other Spanish hotels. In a market with strong competition and high hospitality standards, this is an area that deserves more attention. 👎🏻👎🏻 No parking after 10:00pm- We arrived late in the evening after a long day of driving, only to discover that parking was no longer available after 10:00 PM. This created unnecessary inconvenience, forcing us to search for external parking late at night. 👎🏻👎🏻 No concierge- In addition, there was no assistance available with luggage handling or transportation to the rooms, which was surprising for a hotel of 5 stars rating. 👎🏻👎🏻 Breakfast was another disappointing aspect. Small buffet with limited options. Besides, while breakfast service officially ends at 10:30 AM, my experience in many other hotels is that guests already seated are allowed to finish comfortably, with buffet closure handled discreetly and without impacting the guest experience. Here, however, we were explicitly informed that the buffet would close at 10:30 AM, which made the experience feel rigid and service-oriented rather than guest-oriented. 👍🏻👎🏻The staff were generally professional and polite. However, they lacked the warmth, friendliness, and genuine hospitality that I encountered consistently in other hotels during my trip across Spain. 👎🏻👎🏻👍🏻While the hotel has several positive qualities, the overall guest experience fell short of expectations. For that reason, it is unlikely that I would choose this hotel again on a future visit to Granada.
