We had an amazing stay at Resort Hotel Alex in Zermatt and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The location is perfect — just a 3-minute walk from the Zermatt train terminal, which made everything so convenient, especially with luggage. The hotel has a warm, cozy, traditional Swiss atmosphere. The rooms are beautifully decorated in wood, very charming and comfortable, and the bathrooms are newly remodeled with heated floors — such a nice touch! The breakfast was excellent every morning, with great variety and quality. The overall ambiance of the hotel is wonderful: elegant but relaxed, very welcoming, and extremely family-friendly. The pool is very spacious, perfect for kids, and the large jacuzzi is ideal to unwind after a long day. We met several families who come back at least once a year — and everyone we spoke to had nothing but great things to say about the hotel. Although this was a couple’s trip for us, we had so much fun and felt completely entertained and relaxed. A special thank you to Jeffrey at the bar and Beberlly at the restaurant for their outstanding service — they were truly exceptional and made our stay even more special. And we have to mention the restaurant for dinner — it’s honestly one of the best in town. We tried dining elsewhere one night, but ended up coming back to Alex because the quality and atmosphere were unbeatable. We’re leaving very happy and already looking forward to coming back! Highly recommend.

I took a group of 36 in mid-February to the Alex. In one word it was WONDERFUL. This was our 17th group trip and the Alex was at the top of all the hotels we have had the pleasure to have enjoyed in all those years. The staff was exceptionally courteous and accommodating, the food was amazing and the hotel was beyond what you see on the internet. We couldn't ask for more.

I stayed at Hotel Alex for a week with my 16 year old daughter and 71 year old father. The hotel is absolutely charming and an example of fine Mountain/Alp architecture. There rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff made your every wish come true. The breakfasts and dinners were Michelin Star quality. There were many sitting places around the bar so you could co-mingle with your party or make friends with other guests. The spa, pool, saunas, tennis court, wet bath sauna are all additional treasures. The hotel is close to ski lifts so you can walk in your ski booths without taking a bus.
