Abbazia Collemedio Resort & Spa occupies a restored 12th-century Benedictine abbey in Umbria's rolling countryside, where monks once cultivated the surrounding vineyards and olive groves.
The property underwent extensive renovation to preserve its original stone architecture and cloister while introducing modern luxury hospitality.
Today, it functions as a full-service hotel and spa destination, offering couples a venue steeped in centuries of history and spiritual tranquility.
The place is an architecturally restored monastery, beautifully and sensitively converted into a hotel. The setting gives commanding views over the spectacular Umbrian landscape. The staff are very special, professional but friendly with lots of warmth, charm and humour. We spent 10 glorious days there in June and have booked to return in September. Can’t wait!
