Lombok’s answer to a Bali resort wedding, on a stretch of white sand at Sire on the northwest coast that most people have never heard of.
Tugu Lombok is the sister of Hotel Tugu Bali and works the same way: it is built around Anhar Setjadibrata’s collection of Indonesian art and antiques, and the buildings exist to hold them.
The signature space is the Bale Kokok Pletok, an open-air hall under a thatched roof about 15 metres high, looking out over a lotus pond to the sea.
The Beach Front Lawn is the larger option, quoted at 250 standing or 125 seated, with Mount Rinjani behind you and the Gili Islands and Bali’s Mount Agung across the water in front.

How many guests can Hotel Tugu Lombok hold?+
The Beach Front Lawn is quoted at up to 250 for a standing party and 125 seated. Other spaces, including the Bale Kokok Pletok, run in the 25 to 100 range depending on the layout, so the venue scales from an elopement to a large beach reception.
How do guests get to Lombok?+
Lombok International (LOP) is about two hours south by road. Most guests fly Denpasar to Lombok, roughly 25 minutes in the air, or take a fast boat from Bali to Bangsal, about 20 minutes from Sire. Either way it costs the party a travel day.
What does a wedding here cost?+

Where do guests stay?+
Tugu has around 20 suites and villas, which covers the wedding party. Sire has several other beach resorts within a few minutes, and Senggigi is 45 minutes south, so a 150-guest list needs a block across two or three properties and a shuttle plan.
What can guests do on Lombok?+
The Gili Islands are a 20-minute boat ride from Bangsal for snorkelling and turtles, Mount Rinjani trekking starts inland, and the Sire beaches are empty on most days. It is a quieter island than Bali with far fewer people on the sand.
When is the best season on Lombok?+
April to October, the same dry season as Bali, with July and August the busiest. Lombok is drier than Bali in most months because it sits in the rain shadow of Rinjani, which makes an outdoor beach reception a safer bet here than in Ubud.
