Two rooms are licensed for civil ceremonies, and the two terraces take the drinks afterwards, with the beach club and the hotel’s 1939 racing yacht Pinuccia for the day around it.

How many guests can Hotel Tresanton hold?+
Up to 50 for a small wedding held alongside the hotel’s normal service, and the whole property for an exclusive-use celebration. The restaurant and terraces set the ceiling rather than a ballroom, so this is a venue for a short guest list.
When is exclusive use available?+
From September through March, with a minimum of two nights at weekends and one night from Sunday to Thursday. In high summer the hotel keeps trading, so a July buyout is not something Tresanton offers.
Where does the ceremony take place?+
In one of the two licensed rooms inside the hotel, with the terraces used for champagne and canapes afterwards and the restaurant, which looks across at St Anthony lighthouse, for the wedding breakfast.
Where do guests stay?+
The hotel has 30 rooms and suites across its five buildings, and St Mawes has cottages and smaller inns within a few minutes’ walk. Falmouth, across the water by passenger ferry, holds a larger guest list.
How do guests reach St Mawes?+
Newquay airport is about an hour and fifteen minutes by car, Exeter around two hours fifteen. Truro station is thirty minutes away with direct trains from London Paddington in about four and a half hours, and the sleeper runs overnight.
