My recent retreat at BeingSattvaa at Balai was more than just a stay in nature — it was a deeply nourishing and uplifting experience. Surrounded by lush greenery, the place has a natural calm that gently encourages you to slow down and be present. With beautiful rice paddy fields all around and a waterfall nearby, the setting feels truly special and helps you reconnect with nature and yourself. The entire property is very well maintained, reflecting the care and dedication put into preserving its beauty and harmony. What truly makes BeingSattvaa special are the hosts, Mr. Subba and Mrs. Renuka. They are wonderful people who welcome every guest with genuine warmth and kindness. Their hospitality comes from the heart, and you can feel the sincerity in the way they care for everyone who visits. The staff are also very friendly and always ready to help. The vegetarian food is simple, wholesome, and prepared with love, making every meal nourishing and satisfying. BeingSattvaa at Balai is a peaceful and safe place for families, seekers, or groups who wish to rejuvenate, relax, and reconnect with themselves. It’s truly a place where nature, kindness, and tranquility come together to create a memorable experience.

We had a week long retreat for over twenty people at BeingSattvaa. It was the third such retreat we have held here over the years. It is one of the very best retreat spaces we have come across not just in Bali but in the world. It’s a place with real heart. And of course great natural beauty, great homely food and excellent amenities. Highly recommended for personal visits, couples and of course group events.

Don't hesitate! If you're looking at this page, just book it, you will not regret it. My husband and I stayed at BeingSattvaa for our anniversary and it was so wonderful. From the calm quiet jungle and lush green views to the incredible team to the sustainable approach to delicious vegetarian food: we loved it. You know that feeling you get in the regular "resorts", including in Bali, that something is a little off, maybe a little removed from the place you're in? Here we really enjoyed the spirit of the place, and we loved walking up into the small village it is located in. There are all the things that make a stay very comfy: a lovely pool, a big clean comfy room, super handy shuttle service into town, handy WhatsApp comms, a very good daily morning yoga, and so much more. But the reason we really loved it was the kind, eye-level service. These are wonderful pros. Also special note on breakfast: we LOVED that you just order a dish, and a small buffet. So much less waste, and the breakfast was super fresh and nice. Delicious fruit, a homemade banana or chocolate bread and croissants, and a lovely dish. Wonderful. OK, we could go on, but truly, if you are a little bit done with cookie cutter hotels, need a space to unwind in nature and love to do so in sync with your surroundings, search no further, come with an open heart and you will have an exceptional time.
