Stayed at Hotel Nacional for 6 nights and the hotel definitely isn’t at a 5 star level. Our check in was quick and staff friendly and could communicate in English and we were allowed early check in which was fantastic so we were really looking forward to the stay. Upon arrival to the room found the level of cleanliness below standard. There was dust everywhere even the electrical points next to the bed which you would know guests would use to charge devices. The seating also had stains and needed vacuuming. The biggest let down was the breakfast….the same food every single day. As this hotel is a family friendly hotel you have to understand how picky children can be and even if they have not eaten something just seeing it everyday makes it hard to convince them otherwise. There were also limited vegetables options with only lettuce, tomato and corn. On the upside kids club was good my kids really enjoyed their time there. That really was the only reason we didn’t change hotels. The location was great beach not overcrowded and overstimulating. Did give my feedback also at check out and hope you take on the improvement opportunities as the hotel really has potential.
