I had the pleasure of spending 6 nights at Eagle Rock in Applecross with a yoga group in August 2025, and it was truly unforgettable. The retreat itself is stunning—perched on the edge of the world, with sweeping views of the sea and the kind of peace you rarely find anywhere else. On the days we weren't sightseeing, I found myself happily torn between taking beautiful hikes around the area or simply sitting quietly, watching the water and listening to nothing but the occasional bird passing by. Our host and owner, Catherine, made the experience even more special. She’s incredibly knowledgeable about the Applecross area and shared fascinating stories about building the retreat and what it’s like to live in such a unique part of Scotland. Her warmth and insight made us feel at home right away. Eagle Rock is the epitome of tranquility and magic—a place to recharge, reflect, and reconnect with nature. If you’re looking for an experience that’s both grounding and inspiring, I can’t recommend it enough.
