Our family of three stayed here to celebrate my parents' birthday. After a leisurely stroll around the area, we borrowed a CD and book from the library and enjoyed reading while listening to jazz in our room. We then enjoyed dinner and breakfast in our room. We had a truly relaxing and luxurious stay, and my parents were very pleased. This time, we chose a plan that included a birthday cake, and the staff also helped us create a wonderful celebration. Thank you so much. As soon as we got home, my parents were asking, "When should we go again?" lol. We would definitely like to stay again as a family in a different season.

We stayed in the main building, Hanare, for two nights with our family of three and two small dogs. The room was clean and comfortable, and both us and our dogs were very relaxed. We usually use beds, but the futons were also very comfortable. This was my first time experiencing the Auberge Maison style. The food was even better than I expected, and it was a truly blissful experience. The tableware was also beautiful, enhancing the delicious food. The staff told me about some wonderful tableware at a nearby general store, but I regret not being able to stop by due to timing. The staff were very kind and welcoming. I could really feel their love for this place from their attention to detail in the ingredients, the cleanliness of the room, and their friendly service. We had to bring our own litter boxes and dishes for the dogs, but it wasn't a burden. I found it more relaxing here, as I didn't have to worry about what was in the hotel and what wasn't. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Shiga Prefecture again. We had a very pleasant three days. Thank you to all the staff. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I'm very sorry, but I was personally disappointed. I don't think the service was commensurate with the price. I was particularly looking forward to the food, as it's an auberge, but in terms of taste and quantity it was on par with a 7,000-8,000 yen course at an Italian restaurant in town, and I didn't really understand the attention to ingredients or the intention behind the pairings. There was no welcome drink or free drinks in the lounge, and after dinner you can no longer use the main building, so you just return to your room, which was nothing special other than a fairly spacious log cabin. In addition, the location is in an area that seems like a villa district and I walked around a bit, and all I saw was the remains of a dilapidated mini-putter course. At least for me, this didn't seem like an environment where you could say you were enjoying the luxury of doing nothing.
