What a great setting for a relaxed lunch! Spacious veranda, and well-placed tables on the lawn and under the trees. The lake makes for a perfect backdrop! The menu is comprehensive, and so too, (although pricey) was the wine list!

We went there to braai picnic for our end of year function. We were just females, and the staff person set up our braai. The picnic baskets are nice. The wine estate is nice. Views are amazing. Customer service is poor. We had to ask for the included ice tea and for cups. They leave you on your own. We had a few disappointing things happen on this day. We struggled to get those egg breading big flies away from the meat and a veldmuis bit one of my colleagues open on her toe. We wanted to know where to find a tap, the guy that made our fire (waiting staff) said he would help us get some water because we filled up our water bottles in the toilet and the water was hot. He never did. They were smoking and having a conversation outside the restuarant kitchen area. The directions are not clear when you drive in on where to go and the dirt road was bad for our vehicles. (One colleagues car couldn't drive the next day).We couldn't enjoy our food fighting off flies and see veld muis running about the whole time. My highlight was that I got some good wine before I left. The wine is very nice too. Would I be back? Probably not.
