Could stay here forever if money and school weren't a thing. The bathroom floors were heated! Every morning the sun dazzles over the lake, warming up the clouds circling twin giant hills on either side. The view from the windows are almost poetic, too good to be true, too beautiful to ignore. This villa felt more like home than any other establishment I've been to. I remember walking through that door, igniting the magical fireplace (it lights electrically?!) and feeling the freezing cold melt off me. The view from the living room, the material of the couch, and the warmth of the fireplace all needs a place in the NZ hall of Fame. The kitchen appliances were all spotless, and comes fully stocked with cutlery, plates, cups, pans, and other essentials. Not supposed to have much coffee at my age, but the nespresso machine was too tempting. Bed was superrrr comfy, and the radio/clock on the bedside table made for a nice morning listen. So, if you can, select Platinum Villas for your next trip down the South Island. Shop around the local towns, especially Arrowtown and Wanaka. Walk along the crystal clear lake and see how many fish you can count.
