Belmond lists eight event spaces and describes celebrations of up to 100 guests. The single largest room, the Son Fony restaurant, is listed at 112 seated or 115 standing, so 100 is the working number for a seated wedding.
Can we take the whole hotel?+
Belmond does not advertise a published buyout rate for the 67 rooms, and exclusive use is arranged by proposal. Ask early: Deià is small and the hotel fills through the summer, so a full-house weekend needs a long run-up.
Where do ceremonies and dinner happen?+
Ceremonies are usually staged on a garden terrace with the Tramuntana mountains behind and the sea below. Dinner moves to the terrace outside El Olivo, the restaurant in the estate’s old olive press, or into Son Fony under its glass roof.
How do guests get to Deià?+
Palma airport is about 40 minutes away on the Ma-10 coast road, which is scenic and full of switchbacks. Guests prone to car sickness should be warned, and evening transfers back to Palma are slower than the map suggests.
Is there a beach at the hotel?+
No. La Residencia sits on the hillside above the village, and the nearest swimming is Cala Deià, a shingle cove the hotel runs a shuttle to. There are two pools on the property for the rest of the weekend.
