Amanemu
Amanemu opened in March 2016 on a hillside above Ago Bay, inside Ise-Shima National Park, and it is Aman’s onsen resort: the thermal water is piped into every one of the 24 suites and 8 two-bedroom villas as well as the bathhouse.
Amanemu is a resort destination wedding venue in Shima, Japan, hosting 10 to 60 guests in the $$$$ price range, reached from Nagoya Chubu Centrair (NGO), ~2 hours by car. Best months: July, August, September, December.

The bay below is where Mikimoto started culturing pearls, and it is still worked by boat.
Ceremonies are held in the grounds of the Arrival Pavilion or inside the villas, and the resort quotes celebrations on request rather than selling a package.
The reason to marry here rather than in Kyoto is Ise Jingu, the most important Shinto shrine complex in Japan, about an hour north, which gives a wedding weekend a centre of gravity that no hotel garden can.

The 4 months the weather is kindest. Shoulder dates soften the light and the rates.
Figures are estimates, modeled from regional rates and public sources, not a quote from the venue. Once the venue claims this page, their own rates take precedence.
Asked along the way.
How many guests can Amanemu host?+
Aman does not publish a wedding capacity. The resort has 24 suites and 8 villas, so a party that sleeps on site tops out near 60 people, and anything larger needs rooms in Kashikojima or Toba with cars laid on between them.
Where do ceremonies happen?+
Aman names two settings: the grounds of the Arrival Pavilion, and the private villas for smaller ceremonies. Everything is proposed by the celebrations team after an enquiry rather than chosen off a menu.
Can we marry at Ise Jingu?+
Ise Jingu is a working shrine complex about an hour north and it is worth building the weekend around, but any shrine ceremony there is arranged through the shrine and a planner, not through the resort, and it is conducted in Japanese.
How do guests reach Amanemu?+
Nagoya Chubu Centrair is the nearest airport, about two hours by car. The Kintetsu limited express from Nagoya to Ugata takes roughly two hours and the resort arranges the last leg. There is no station at the door, so plan cars.
What does Amanemu cost?+
The resort publishes no wedding pricing and its rooms sit at the top of the Japanese market, with published rates commonly quoted above $1,700 a night. Treat every cost figure on this page as our estimate rather than a quote.
