Park Hyatt Sydney in The Rocks NSW 2000, open March–December.
Built in 1973, Park Hyatt Sydney occupies a distinctive modernist structure that has anchored Sydney Harbour's eastern foreshore for five decades, commanding views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
Originally designed as a concert hall and exhibition space, the building was reimagined and restored as a luxury hotel, preserving its architectural significance while introducing contemporary hospitality.
The venue's dramatic cantilever design and floor-to-ceiling windows create an unparalleled waterfront setting for celebrations.
Absolutely 5 stars on every part. Rooms are clean, kept up, well sized with balconies. We had the city harbor view room and it faced the boardwalk and the tall ship over towards the cruise boat dock. On the patio you had a view of the Opera House along the length of the hotel. Further rooms to the left of the elevator are higher room view quality as it heads towards the Opera House. Service at front desk was superb, friendly and informative. Concierge was good but focused with more advice within the Rocks and CBD, not much beyond a 1 mile radius. I’m doing an extra review for the breakfast. Get this on your room rate!! Huge buffet, wide range of entrees and mains for traditional through continental options. So good, worth just staying and enjoying the Opera House views from the large open windows. Shockingly quiet given its location, and the black out blinds worked perfectly. If you only had a night, this would be a great option. Very expensive, I mean very. Worth it? That’s tough, but given our first time in Sydney, I would say yes!
