Amazing stay at Kan Tulum, we would definitely come back. We stayed in a room that had a private rooftop terrace/plunge pool which I highly recommend if you like your own quiet space to relax, sunbathe, read, etc. The rooms were very nice and the bed was comfortable. We appreciated the little kitchen and fridge! I was a bit worried that there wouldn’t be enough sunny areas as another review said the entire place is very shaded; however we found it was not a problem at all. If you don’t have a private rooftop area, there are still a few that are open to everyone that are in full sun. The restaurant pool seemed very sunny although we didn’t use it. We only used the main pool once in the afternoon and it had enough sunny areas. The cenote is obviously amazing, such a nice serene spot to hang out and cool off. We really enjoyed the café and the menu with many different types of coffees, teas, juices, etc. The woman working there was always super pleasant with us! Minor things that were annoying but not enough to make the stay less than great: some things in the room we couldn’t get to work like the ceiling fan (the remote didn’t seem to work), one of the lamps, the safe (again could have been us not able to figure out how to use it, but we ended up just not using it), and the fact that we couldn’t turn off the very bright outdoor lights right outside our window/door where our bed faces. (There were blinds we could put down but I like falling asleep and waking up to the views). Although they were not super responsive via WhatsApp before we arrived, the service once we got there was good. PSA (unrelated to Kan, but very helpful to know if you’re renting a car/scooter) please read the reviews of the gas stations before going to one and PAY ATTENTION to the meter. Especially the gas station closest to Kan.
